* Colombia’s attorney general’s office has announced an agreement whereby it will recover Col$24bn (US$7.5m) corresponding to bribes paid by the Brazilian engineering company Odebrecht to secure the award of state contracts in the country. The first payment of Col$6.3bn was on 17 January 2019, with the next two instalments expected on 30 August and 31 January 2020.
