* Brazil’s national statistics institute (Ibge) has released the latest figures for the national consumer price index (IPCA), which show a slow-down in inflation in June, with monthly inflation recording a 0.01% variation. Accumulated inflation for the first six months of 2019 totalled 2.23%, while annual inflation to June 2019 stands at 3.37%, down from 4.66% in May. This remains within the central bank’s (BCB) inflation target range of 4.25% +/-1.5 percentage points.
