Regional bodies join forces to combat arms trafficking

A joint operation by law enforcement bodies in Argentina, Brazil, and the US has led to the largest ever seizure of illegal firearms in decades. The operation is being hailed as an example of what increased cooperation by law enforcement across the continent can achieve. However, it also raises worrying questions about the problem of arms trafficking and the entrenched corruption that accompanies it.
