In brief – Costa Rica announces new investment in airports

* Costa Rica’s presidency has revealed plans by the civil aviation technical council (Cetac) and the civil aviation authority (DGAC) to invest over ₡90.8bn (US$159m) in airport infrastructure between 2019-2020 for both local airfields and international airports. The infrastructure improvements are mainly based on operational security and resource optimisation and aim to boost production and trade.
