Brazil’s ‘Lava Jato’ investigation on the rocks?

On 27 August, Brazil’s federal supreme court (STF) annulled a sentence that was handed out by former judge Sérgio Moro, now justice minister, as part of the ‘Lava Jato’ corruption investigation. With three votes to one, the STF’s second chamber annulled the sentence for corruption and money laundering of Aldemir Bendine, a former president of state-owned companies Petrobras and Banco do Brasil.
