MEXICO: Tensions rise in Chiapas over migrant protests

On 29 August Mexico's President Andrés Manuel López Obrador stated “we are seeking to not violate human rights, even though there have been provocations” – a reference to ongoing protests by predominantly African and Haitian immigrants in Tapachula, Chiapas state.
