US opens Venezuela Affairs Unit in Bogotá

El Salvador: On 28 August, US Acting Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS) Kevin McAleenan began a three-day visit to El Salvador where, among other things, he signed a Letter of Intent with El Salvador’s justice & security minister, Rogelio Rivas, to intensify bilateral cooperation in four areas to address irregular migration from Central America and combat transnational criminal organisations.
