Guyana is still to hold the general election which, following the no-confidence vote on 21 December, should have been held within three months. Legal challenges over the validity of the vote prevented that. Another deadline appeared to be 18 September, three months on from the final court challenge, but on 14 August Chief Justice Roxane George-Wiltshire ruled that the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) had not set this as the new deadline.
