In brief: Colombia concludes its first summit on ‘orange economy’

* The first summit on the ‘orange economy’ (activity related to the creative arts, entertainment, and leisure) has taken place in Medellín city, the capital of Colombia's Antioquia department involving both the public and private sector. With 55 speakers from 17 different countries, the two-day summit included presentations, conferences, and workshops to exchange knowledge and experience, and increase public and awareness of the potential of the creative industries. At the close of the summit, President Iván Duque stated: “We have to make Colombia the epicentre of the creative industries in Latin America and the Caribbean”.
