* A local private sector lobby, Instituto Boliviano de Comercio Exterior (IBCE), has released a report which found that Bolivia’s exports totalled US$4.97bn in the first seven months of 2019, down 6% on the same period in 2018. According to the IBCE report, which was based on figures from the national statistics institute (INE), non-traditional exports fell 4% in value terms but were up 18% in volume terms. Meanwhile, traditional exports (hydrocarbons and minerals) were down both 7% in value terms and 27% in volume terms.
