Francisco Ísmodes said the country has a portfolio of mining projects which represents over US$57bn in investment, adding that the government aims to seek a further US$21bn in mining investment. Ísmodes made his comments at the close of the 34
th edition of Peru’s largest mining convention, Perumin, which took place in Arequipa city, capital of the eponymous region. Ísmodes also said that as of July, US$3bn in investment had been executed, an increase of nearly 25% compared with the same period the previous year.
