BRAZIL: Violence dents country’s image further ahead of UNGA

On 23 September, Brazil’s vice-president, and currently acting president, Hamilton Mourão, said that parts of the country are at war with “narco-gangs” which is why tragedies sometimes happen, in reference to the death of an eight-year old girl hit by a stray bullet, believed to have been fired by the police, in Rio de Janeiro last week.
