DOMINICAN REPUBLIC | Concerned by impact of Thomas Cook collapse. On 24 September the Dominican Republic’s tourism ministry (Mitur) issued a press release in which it announced that in the wake of the financial collapse of British travel firm Thomas Cook, the government will try to compensate for the loss of the air links that it provided to Europe.
