In brief: Chile’s finance minister lowers growth forecast

* Chile’s finance minister Felipe Larraín has said that the government is forecasting economic growth of between 2.4%-2.9% in 2019, down from its previous forecast of 3.2% in July, as reported in the local media. Last month Chile’s central bank (BCCh) reduced its GDP growth forecast for 2019 to 2.25%-2.75%, down from 2.75%-3.50% in June.
