* In a press conference, Guido Sandleris, the president of Argentina’s central bank (BCRA), reaffirmed the need to establish political consensus ahead of the 27 October general election, in order to solve the country’s economic crisis and achieve economic growth. Sandleris said this consensus should focus on fiscal equilibrium, a monetary policy “consistent” with a “positive real interest rate”, and an increase in productivity with “integration to the world”.
