MEXICO: Poised to adopt recall referendum
Mexico’s federal senate has voted overwhelmingly in favour of introducing a constitutional reform establishing a recall referendum. In practice this would present voters with the chance to decide whether to retain or remove the president or any one of the country’s 32 state governors just after the midpoint of their term in office.
