PANAMA: Cortizo marks first 100 days in office

Panama’s President Laurentino Cortizo recently presented his balance sheet for his first 100 days in office. He devoted most of his speech to his efforts to reactivate Panama’s economy which grew 3.7% in 2018, down from the 5%-6% of recent years – a declared priority of the new Partido Revolucionario Democrático (PRD) government which took office in July.
