The trade deal between the Southern Common Market trade bloc (
Mercosur), comprising
Argentina,
Brazil,
Paraguay and
Uruguay, and the European Union (EU), that was hailed as historic when it was reached in earlier in June, is already running into trouble due to factors within both Mercosur and the EU. The first article in this October edition of
