Jair Bolsonaro has set off on a ten-day trip which will take him to Japan, China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Saudi Arabia in search of commercial partnerships and investments. Shigehiro Tanaka, reportedly expressed Japan’s support to Brazil’s bid to become a member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and for the pursuit of a trade deal with the Southern Common Market (Mercosur).
