* Flavia Santoro, president of Colombia’s investment promotion agency, ProColombia, has said that Colombia will seek to present itself as an attractive country for Chinese investments during this year’s Colombia Investment Summit, a yearly event aimed attracting foreign investment into the country. Santoro said that 31 Chinese companies are expected to attend the summit and that China has a “great interest in Colombia because the country offers political and legal stability, as well as exceptional investment conditions for strategic sectors”. Santoro added that to Colombia, China is a “priority market in our promotional work because it invests more than US$124bn, of which only US$32m reach Colombia”.
