In brief: Mexico registers a US$116.2m trade deficit in September

* Mexico's national statistics institute (Inegi) has revealed that Mexico has posted a US$116.2m deficit in its trade balance in the month of September. Back in September 2018, the country had a trade deficit of US$301m. From January 2019 to September 2019, Mexico had a trade surplus of US$2.69bn. Exports totalled US$344.22bn in the first nine months of the year, while imports reached US$341.53bn.
