People smuggling link to corruption underscored

Corruption is the main factor in the prevalence of people smuggling in Mexico. This was the main message that representatives from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (Unodc) delivered when they presented the findings of a report on the issue during a recent visit to the country. The onus is now on the Mexican authorities to follow the recommendations made in the report to improve the fight against people smuggling.
