* Paraguay’s national statistics directorate (Dgeec) has reported that across Paraguay the rate of unemployment in the third quarter was 6.2%, a decrease on the previous quarter, which registered 7.4%. According to Dgeec, the rate of unemployment for women in Paraguay fell marginally from 7.8% in the second quarter to 7.5% in the third quarter of 2019. There was an even greater fall in the unemployment rate for men, from 7.2% to 5.3% quarter-on-quarter.
