In brief: Inflation on the rise in Uruguay

* Uruguay’s national statistics institute (INE) has released the latest figures on the country’s consumer price index (IPC), which registered an increase of 0.75% in October. This was the highest increase for the month of October since 2013 and has brought the accumulated inflation rate this year to 8.36%. The 12-month rolling inflation rate now stands at 8.34%, the highest rate since July 2018.
