Adam Boehler, the chief executive officer of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), successor company of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), has signed a letter of intent to invest US$632m on a natural gas pipeline that will run through Oaxaca state and other southern states in Mexico. The US government has previously invested US$187m and has signed two letters of intent to finance two infrastructure projects which would represent a further investment of US$270m in Mexico.
