The ‘Lava Jato’ investigations into the corruption centred around Brazilian construction firm Odebrecht in Peru continues to advance despite the complexities of the case and the apparent efforts by the politically influential individuals implicated in it to stifle them. Prosecutors continue to gather evidence from witnesses to try to piece together the various corruption schemes linked to Odebrecht even though they face efforts to undermine and curtail their work at every corner even from other public ministry officials.
