* The Fondo Financiero para el Desarrollo de la Cuenca del Plata (Fonplata), the Plata Basin regional development bank, has announced that it will provide US$25m to a US$31.2m border area development plan that aims to make improvements to two cities located either side of the Paraguay-Brazil border.
