BOLIVIA: New electoral law hailed as breakthrough

The interim government led by Jeanine Áñez has made good on one of its pledges – paving the way for new elections to be staged. The approval of a new electoral law, following dialogue between the Áñez government and social organisations, has been welcomed as a step forward in the crisis which has rocked the country since the disputed 20 October general election which saw Evo Morales forced to resign the presidency.
