CHILE: Briones tables stimulus plan as growth tumbles

On 2 December Chile’s finance minister Ignacio Briones presented a US$5.5bn plan to try and reactivate the economy, which suffered its heaviest contraction for over two decades in October, according to the latest monthly economic activity index (Imacec) published shortly beforehand.
