André Macedo notes that domestic demand and a small improvement in the labour market are helping drive this positive trajectory.
“This improvement is far from making up past losses, but it shows a change in the industrial sector, which was negative until the middle of the year,” he said. Over the ten months to October 2019, industrial production accumulated a 1.1% contraction.
