* Costa Rican and Colombian customs authorities have signed a mutual recognition agreement (MRA) relating to authorised economic operators (AEO) in the framework of the two countries’ free trade agreement (FTA) which took effect in 2016. As defined by the World Customs Organisation (WCO), the AEO is a party “involved in the international movement of goods in whatever function that has been approved by or on behalf of a national customs administration as complying with WCO or equivalent supply chain security standards”.
