Alberto Fernández announced the appointment of a new ambassador to the US, and a team to represent Argentina at various international organisations based in Washington DC. In an official statement it was confirmed that
Jorge Argüello will return to Washington as Argentina’s ambassador to the US, to resume the post he previously filled from 2011 to 2013. He will also be Argentina’s representative to the G-20. Argüello will coordinate a Washington-based team in charge of Argentina’s liaison with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, United Nations, the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), and the Organization of American States.
