On 20 January, at least 26 prisoners escaped from the 'Francisco d’Oliveira Conde' prison in Rio Branco, the state capital of Acre in Brazil’s northern region. All fugitives are believed to belong to the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), Brazil’s largest drug trafficking organisation (DTO), or its local ally, Bonde dos 13 (B13).
