In brief: Economy minister to head Mexico’s Davos delegation

* Mexico’s economy minister, Graciela Márquez, is leading the country’s delegation at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual summit in Davos, Switzerland, which began on 20 January and will not be attended by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, or Finance Minister Arturo Herrera. According to Mexico’s economy ministry, Márquez will be seeking to attract foreign investment to Mexico and increase opportunities to diversify the country’s exports.
