HONDURAS: Launch of first-ever ‘anti-corruption’ observatory

Honduras’s first observatory of anti-corruption criminal policy (OPCA) was launched last week. It was accompanied by a report estimating the cost of corruption in the country, once again illustrating the scale of problem.
The OPCA was launched on 6 February by the national anti-corruption council (CNA), a civil-society umbrella group, and the Honduran Social Forum on External Debt (Fosdeh), a collective of NGOs specialised in monitoring macroeconomic policy, external debt, and development.
