* Colombia’s national statistics institute (Dane) has released new figures which show that Colombia’s exports totalled US$3.4bn in January 2020, up 11.6% on the same month in 2019. This was mainly explained by the increase in the export of fuels and products from Colombia’s extractive industries, which represent 60.9% of Colombia’s exports, and were up 27.2% to total US$2.08bn.
