In brief: Costa Rica passes key OECD bribery appraisal

* The Costa Rican government, led by President Carlos Alvarado, has moved through the penultimate hoop in its quest for full membership of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). In Latin America, only Chile and Mexico have full membership, although Colombia is expecting to join once it has ratified the OECD Convention.
