In brief: Honduran central bank lowers growth forecast

* The Honduran central bank (BCH) has announced that due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, it has lowered the country’s GDP growth forecast for 2020 to 1.5%-2.5%, down from the 2.7%-3.1% forecast at the start of the year. Honduras’s GDP grew 2.7% in 2019.
