In brief: Brazil’s BNDES announces more emergency credit

* Brazil’s national development bank (BNDES) is making R$2bn (US$392m) available to health sector companies as part of efforts to fight the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. The aim of this extra credit is to increase the supply of emergency beds and hospital equipment, with companies that are seeking to convert their production into material for the healthcare sector also eligible to be considered.
