In brief: Chile’s unemployment level rises

* Chile’s unemployment rate for the December 2019 to February 2020 rolling quarter was 7.8%, a 0.8 percentage point increase on the same period in 2019, according to figures from Chile’s national statistics institute (INE). The latest figures have yet to reflect the impact of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in the country, which is set to drive up unemployment.
