ARGENTINA: Fernández extends Covid-19 lockdown measures

Argentine President Alberto Fernández announced on 10 April that the coronavirus (Covid-19) lockdown, originally imposed on 20 March, would be extended until 27 April. Like other regional leaders, Fernández is trying to balance reducing deaths from the disease on the one hand, with limiting the economic damage of the lockdown on the other. The indications are that he has managed better than some of his opposite numbers elsewhere in the continent.
