EL SALVADOR: Ministers called to provide evidence over sanitary cordon

On 22 April El Salvador’s attorney general (AG) Raúl Melara confirmed that defence and health ministers, René Merino Monroy and Francisco Alabí respectively, had been called to give evidence in relation to an investigation launched into President Nayib Bukele’s decision to cordon off the town of La Libertad, La Libertad department, for 48 hours.
