In brief: Peru offers support for small businesses

* Peru’s President Martín Vizcarra has announced the approval of an emergency decree to increase the country’s business support fund, intended to help companies survive the economic effects of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, from PEN$300m (US$88.3m) to PEN$800m. Vizcarra said that the ‘Reactiva Perú’ programme had been extended to guarantee financing for small and micro enterprises, which had complained of being ineligible for previous funding provisions.
