VENEZUELA: Guaidó resists pressure from allies

On 9 May, Venezuela’s opposition leader Juan Guaidó, recognised as Venezuela’s interim president by over 50 countries, warned that the ‘Operation Gideon’ attacks had been manipulated by the Nicolás Maduro government to justify increased repression of its opponents.
