ECUADOR: Electoral council hits back at critics
On 23 June, the president of Ecuador’s electoral council (CNE), Diana Atamaint, rejected Comptroller General Pablo Celi’s attempts to force her dismissal and that of two other CNE officials, accusing him of “interfering in the electoral process”.
