* The World Bank (WB) has approved a US$45m loan to improve access to safe drinking water to 360,000 homes in Honduras’s small and medium-sized cities. The project aims to improve water quality and infrastructure and increase the hours per day that water is available. The loan also includes a fund to aid Honduras’s coronavirus (Covid-19) response by supplying water and subsidising the tariffs that vulnerable groups and low-income families pay urban water providers.
