GUYANA: CCJ ruling provides boost for opposition in electoral dispute

On 9 July the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) ruled unanimously that the judgment handed down by Guyana’s Court of Appeal on 22 June, which was used by Guyana’s Chief Election Officer (CEO) Keith Lowenfield to invalidate over 100,000 votes from the 2 March general election, was invalid.
