VENEZUELA: Saab faces US extradition
On 13 July, the lawyer of Colombian businessman Alex Saab, who is accused of corruption and money laundering on behalf of the Venezuelan goverment led by Nicolás Maduro, confirmed that Saab would appeal the Cape Verdean government’s decision to extradite him to the US.
