BRAZIL: Chamber of deputies votes to make Fundeb permanent
On 21 July, Brazil’s chamber of deputies approved a constitutional amendment (PEC) to make permanent the Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica (Fundeb) public education fund, which is otherwise set to expire this year.
