BRAZIL: Political parties seek to regroup

Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro is not yet halfway through his four-year term, but both he and his political opponents appear to be thinking ahead to the 2022 presidential elections already. There are reports of an unprecedented left-wing alliance in the making, while the centre-right Partido da Social Democracia Brasileira (PSDB) is running into some problems with the (re-)emergence of corruption allegations against two of its former presidential candidates.
